Our Story

Ok, let's start with the elephant in the room. Or, in this case, a hippo. If you've read my blog about personality types, you probably already understand, but if not, here's what it's all about.

I'm a Hippo

When you think of a hippo, the first thing that comes to mind might be a lazy, slow-moving creature plodding along and trying not to get sunburned. But have you seen a hippo when they're on a mission? Those bad boys can reach speeds of up to 30km per hour! They charge forward, head down, and only stop once their mission is complete.

That's how I feel when a client gives me a job or task. I'll find the best, easiest, and quickest way to get the job done and charge forward until everything is done and dusted. Then I'll make a cuppa and go back to avoiding the sun.

I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit and wanted to start my own business. But it wasn't until I discovered the world of virtual assistance that I knew I'd found my calling. Finally, I could combine my love of organisation and efficiency with my desire to help others, all while running my own business on my terms. I'd previously owned a recruitment agency but, although I was successful, it never gave be the sence of achievement that I feel now.

Starting a business can be challenging, especially if you are starting from scratch. There are plenty of obstacles along the way, but I approached them all with the same determination as a charging hippo. And soon, MMIH was born.
MISS MAKE IT HAPPEN LOGO - SAGE GREEN

The Logo

I've had my hippo inside my head for an eternity. She was itching to get out. I had a basic image drawn out, and the designer came back to me with my absolute dream logo. I don't even mind telling you I cried. It was like all my birthdays had come at once. The designer knew exactly what I wanted, and within what felt like seconds, I had her on the screen in front of me. My inner animal was now ready to be shown to the world.

#BeMoreHippo

My hashtag is about being strong, knowing your worth and stomping out any obstacles put in front of you. Just like a hippo would.

It’s about knowing your limits and resting when it’s important too! A hippo does not run at 30km an hour for 16 hours a day! No, we do what we can then we relax and enjoy life.
